A complex situation is developing in France, where French and international logics, dimensions of the collective imagination and facts, misinformation and reality are intertwined on a number of subjects: the Middle East conflict, the French political situation, Jews and Muslims, the history of French anti-Semitism, the war on terrorism, the problem of immigration. But isn’t diagnosing this as a symptom of a general crisis abusive? According to the general opinion, everything seems to stem from a foreign causality that only affects France by fatality.
